谢平1961年出生,1989年获日本筑波大学生物系博士学位,同年回国在刘建康院士的指导下做博士后研究。长期以来致力于水体富营养化及蓝藻水华的爆发机制及生物调控措施的研究,特别是通过系统和深入的生态学研究,成功地揭开了武汉东湖蓝藻水华消失之谜,将生态学理论与应用研究有机结合,创造性地提出了用滤食性鱼类直接控制蓝藻水华的非经典“生物操纵”法,荣获国际湖泊生态学的大奖—第9届生态学琵琶湖奖,并为中科院青年科学家奖及中科院优秀“百人计划”得主。共发表SCI源刊论文36篇,现为中科院知识创新工程重大项目的首席科学家,并担任水生所淡水生态学研究中心主任,淡水生态与生物技术国家重点实验室副主任,中科院生态系统研究网络东湖湖泊生态系统试验站站长。国家杰青,百人,享受政府特殊津贴,省突贡专家,国家百千万人才。

主要研究方向为淡水生态学和环境毒理学。主要研究内容:湖泊富营养化机制、微囊藻毒素的毒理学(致毒与解毒机理、结合产物的分离、抽提、纯化与定量分析技术等)及对水产品食用安全性的影响(抽提检测技术、分布与动力学、食物网中的迁移与累积等)。

个人成果

谢平博士现为中科院知识创新工程重要方向项目“典型湖泊与海湾富营养化机理及生态系统响应的研究”及中科院知识创新工程重大项目“长江中下游地区湖泊富营养化发生及控制对策研究”的首席科学家。共发表SCI源刊论文200余篇,出版专著5部。发表的SCI论文被SCI论文引用近1400次,h指数19。所发表的论文和专著被SCI论文他引1000余次。

获奖情况

1998年,入选中国科学院“百人计划”;

1999年获第九届日本生态学琵琶湖奖Biwako Prize for Ecology(国际奖);

突出贡献

在刘建康院士的指导下,谢平博士通过系统和深入地研究水生态系统中牧食食物链的营养关系及下行(Top down)效应,成功地揭开了武汉东湖蓝藻水华消失(达15年之久)之谜,将生态学理论与应用研究有机结合,创造性地提出了用滤食性鱼类直接控制蓝藻水华的新的“生物操纵”法,荣获国际湖泊生态学的大奖—第9届日本琵琶湖生态学奖。

谢平博士由于在湖泊生态系统食物链研究特别是利用滤食性鱼类控制富营养化水体中的蓝藻水华及滤食性鱼类对藻类的消化机制的研究中取得了卓越的研究业绩,在十多个国家的侯选人中脱颖而出,荣获此奖,成为该奖最年轻的获得者,并被日本主要报刊(中日新闻、朝日新闻、每日新闻、日本经济新闻、产经新闻及京都新闻等)及电视新闻所报道,为中国科学院赢得了国际荣誉。

利用滤食性鲢鳙能有效地遏制富营养水体中的蓝藻水华这一事实成为一种生物调控蓝藻水华措施(或称终端调控技术)的理论基础,是国家科技部和云南省等资助的用生物学方法控制云南滇池蓝藻水华的大型研究项目的基础,并正在安徽巢湖、江苏太湖的部分湖区、云南程海及贵州红枫湖中进行试验。
