【音乐特点】乐队的音乐(hardcore punk硬核朋克)将旋律与硬核的迅猛巧妙结合并且不缺乏时髦的EMO元素。自然而紧凑。

发展历程

乐队一直在美国发展，直到第三张专辑也就是最后一张专辑才打入英国市场，小小的在英国排行榜上面获得一些成就。但是在美国，该乐队是非常有名的。有人玩笑说，The distillers是换了女主唱的Nirvana。

乐队在2000年入主Epitaph旗下发行首张同名专辑，正当气势正起时，Kim却选择脱团加入庞克大团X女主音Exene Cervenka的专属乐团The Original Sinners！伴随转投效HellCat旗下发行第2张大碟《Sing Sing Death House》，虽然获得一致的好评与巡回演唱的邀约，但内部的纷争不断，以致Matt也跟随Kim的脚步加入The Original Sinners，连吉他手Rose也与Brody分道扬镳！乐团理念不一导致团员分分合合，这戏码对於乐迷来说应该已经司空见惯了，但才正要起飞的The Distillers面临到如此大的剧变，Brody也颇感无奈！整装再出发，换上新任贝斯手Ryan Sinn、吉他手Tony Bradley与Andy Granelli三男一女的局面，有别於之前三女一男的阵容！随後公司三度异主，经过2张独立厂牌的历练，掳获大批死忠乐迷的追随，主流大厂Sire则兴趣极大的将历经波折全新组合的The Distillers签入旗下！

2003年进军全球的全新专辑《Coral Fang》邀来Gil Norton (The Pixies、James、Foo Fighters)名制作人前来掌盘，被称为“New Courtney Love”的Bordy Dalle，在此辑中将其具侵略信，豪放不羁的摇滚作风变本加厉的使坏出来！阵阵流畅吉他声线勾引出Drain The Blood，呈献往日最为熟悉独立厂所带出的庞克悸动.

后因故解散。
